On behalf of the Chairing Team and Organizers of this simulation, it is our great pleasure to welcome you all to the third edition of Model of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe 2020 Conference! Mark your calendars for 6th and 7th of April 2020 and join us at the third simulation of this kind, held at the University of Banja Luka. 

 

This edition of the Model OSCE will focus primarily on the environmental issues such as the sustainable development in the ​field of plastic waste reduction and preservation and development of pure water resources.  Our main goal again is to gather future leaders, ambitious young people with different academic backgrounds and provide them with an opportunity to practice skills such as debating, critical thinking, negotiating, lobbying and researching. Moreover, we aim to share positive practices of information exchange and social networking.

The project will be implemented in cooperation between the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Office in Banja Luka, and Students' Club of the Political Science Faculty in Banja Luka, a student organization that have established themselves in organizing various academic conferences. 

​

With primary focus being fostering active participation in democratic processes for young individuals, we hope to give our future participants an opportunity to gain first-hand experience in negotiating and decision-making processes within OSCE. All participants will be representing different countries and their respective policies in creating sustainable solutions to problems our topics will be targeting. The simulation is envisioned to recreate a summit meeting of OSCE participating states and engage the representatives through two topics: “Strengthening good environmental governance and ensuring sustainable development in the field of plastic waste reduction” and “Catalyzing efforts to preserve and develop pure water resources in the OSCE region”.
